Easy
to Use as 1-2-3:
1. Input:
 You can type text directly
into the COUNT
MY TEXT! "input
text box"
Use the
standard keyboard shortcuts- CTRL V (WIN) or CMD-V (MAC) -- full details
are provided in the instructions screen of the program -- to paste text
that you copy from another application (including a browser) into COUNT MY
TEXT!
2. Count:
Click
the COUNT button.
 COUNT
MY TEXT! will count all the characters in the text
you provide and report:
-
Characters
(i.e. letters, numbers) + Spaces + Line Feeds
This is the largest number it reports. Use this report for pasting text
into an input box on the Internet if you have Line Feeds (i.e. paragraphs).

Characters (i.e. letters,
numbers) + Spaces
This is the next largest number that COUNT MY TEXT! reports. Use this guideline
if you have no Line Feeds or other codes in your text (i.e. you have a single
paragraph).

Characters (i.e. letters, numbers)
This is the total number of visible typed characters in the text. (i.e. letters
and numbers, punctuation, symbols)

Word
Count
This is the total number of words in your text. COUNT MY TEXT! considers
ANY typed character(s) separated by spaces as a word, just as word processors
and most input boxes on the Internet do. This is useful for Press Releases
and Articles where word count is the important.

Spaces
This shows the number of spaces in your text.

Line
Feeds
This shows the number of Line Feeds (LFs) in your text.
3. Optimize:
 When
you count text, COUNT MY TEXT! will automatically
check the text for extra spaces, unrecognizable codes, and trailing line
feeds (a word processor can insert these into text and when you copy it,
the line feed goes with the text, but you'll never see it.
It will advise you if these can be removed or otherwise corrected and offer
to optimize your text for you.
Click
the OPTIMIZE button!
 That's
all you have to do. COUNT
MY TEXT! will strip out extra space and unrecognizable codes
and reformat your text, then re-count it and give you a new report!

FEATURES:

at your text like the input box on the Internet. It sees ALL the characters
and codes in your text.

It reports the
count of all the characters and codes in your text both when you count and
after you optimize text.

It optimizes your
text, getting rid of unnecessary codes, and spaces! (i.e. two spaces after
a period now become one)

 It reveals codes and
characters so you can check through your text.When you count your
text, the Reveal Codes box displays all the characters.
It displays the character position as a number followed by the character
in that position. It describes a space as SPACE, a tab as TAB and a Line
Feed as LF. If it finds a code it does not recognize, it will indicate the
position and leave the space blank or show a small open box to indicate there
is something unusual there. By looking in the Reveal Codes box, you can see
ALL the characters and codes and where they are in your text.This is especially
useful for the webmaster who is looking for seo optimization.

can count all the words in the banner, starting with the word "Count".
It reports 10 words, the character counter
reports 54 visible characters (the letters and punctuation), 70 characters
plus spaces, and 71 characters plus spaces and line feeds (there is a line
feed after the word "Text!").
When COUNT MY TEXT! optimizes this text, the word counter results are the same
-- 10 words, the character counter results are the same -- 54 visible characters
(the letters and punctuation), but the
extra spaces have been automatically removed, resulting in a dramatic decrease
to 62 characters plus spaces, and only 63 characters plus spaces and line
feeds.

Did
you notice that there were 8 extra spaces in the original headline text?
It
is easy to miss extra spaces in text, our eyes tend to ignore them, and some
word processors ignore them. This is why COUNT MY TEXT! is

Most input
text submission boxes on the Internet submission sites include spaces in
their character counter, and this makes an important difference. An input
text box with a character count limit of 70 characters would reject or truncate
the first occurrence of the title banner, but it would have no problem with
the optimized banner.
