Bryce 5 Moon - Tutorial Introduction

The folks who created Bryce 5 did a great job with the Sun. Then they went even further and gave us the Moon for a different kind of ambient light! That's a wonderful feature. However, along the way, they had to apply certain limitations.

One of these is that the Bryce 5 Moon is ALWAYS 180 degrees opposite the Sun. In reality, this isn't always the case. There are workarounds for this limitation which I will present in a future tutorial.

The Moon in Bryce has lighting effects exactly as the Sun does, but with much less intensity because the Moon gives off so much less light than the Sun. In addition, Bryce 5 allows us to see stars and comets. The comets especially that will help us understand the relationship between the Bryce 5 Sun, Moon and camera. And those stars are lovely!

If you haven't done so, DO the first part of this tutorial (Bryce 5 Sun) so you have a scene to work with and are familiar with the Bryce Sun/Moon Azimuth and Altitude. We'll be working with these as if you've already done that section. And we'll do everything in the Sky Lab.

Let's look at the moon and stars!
